Do you struggle with authenticity and who you truly are? Authenticity helps us live a more meaningful life. To be more authentic we must be realistic and responsible for how we choose to live our life as an individual. How do you perceive your own authenticity?
Our authenticity greatly affects how we believe and perceive things throughout life. Authenticity can also affect how others act and view us as examples. We must be willing to strive for more and be more. Authenticity can change how we view ourselves and the world around us in many ways.
We must understand ourselves and what we perceive to be real and important. Being more authentic allows us to better meet our own needs. When our needs are not met, we lack authenticity. To be more authentic, we must be willing to live as our true selves, not what others expect or want us to be.
Other people’s versions of authenticity are not our version and that is what makes unique. There are many ways that we can show authenticity, such as having integrity, showing self-compassion, being more self-aware, being open-minded about all things, and much more. It can be hard to understand who we are and want to be, we must be willing to learn, understand, and accept ourselves to live a more authentic life.
Ways to live a more authentic life
- Be your true self
Stop trying to be something or someone else. Stop trying to please others by changing who you truly are. The world needs the real you!
- Be responsible
To be more authentic we must be responsible for our actions and needs. We must evaluate our priorities and do it for ourselves. Do not put who you are into the hands of others.
- Be more vulnerable
Expressing ourselves and our emotions can be uncomfortable, but without vulnerability there is no authenticity. Being truly vulnerable allows us to be who we are meant to be and evolve over time.

With authenticity we must accept who we are and our uniqueness. When we are trying to be perfect instead of accepting, reality keeps us from our authentic selves.
